Why we built meno after years of wedding texting
You already know the category. This is the rebuild we kept wishing existed while shipping inside it.
If you plan weddings for a living, you do not need a lecture on guest texting. Save-the-dates, RSVP nudges, week-of logistics, day-of parking: you have run that playbook on tools that already exist. Some of us spent years building those tools. Meno is what came next.
What the old tools already get right
Broadcast texting for weddings works. Guests actually read texts. A dedicated wedding number keeps replies off your personal phone. Guest-count pricing (pay for the list you already know) beats guessing how many messages a season will burn.
Those pieces are not the problem. Plenty of planners already trust them. We did too.
Where the Tuesday ritual still hurts
The pain shows up when RSVPs and reminders live in different worlds. Export the list. Cross-check who answered on the website, in a voice note, or not at all. Build the "hasn't replied" group by hand. Paste. Send. Again next week. Across a season, that ritual eats Tuesdays you would rather spend with couples who still need you.
Week-of and day-of texts have their own tax: dates drift, parking changes, and someone is still babysitting a calendar instead of anchoring messages to the wedding date once.
Why rebuild instead of patch
Patches keep the broadcast layer and bolt RSVP logic on the side. We wanted the reply to be the RSVP: yes, no, or still silent, sitting next to each guest. Reminders go only to the silent ones, on a schedule you set once. The timeline hangs off the wedding date, not a pile of one-off sends you babysit until Saturday.
That is a product shape choice, not a feature checkbox. Easier to build clean than to retrofit every season.
Who this is for
If you have never used a wedding texting app, start on the weddings page. If you already run guest texting for couples, the interesting question is narrower: does your current tool still make you export to chase RSVPs? If yes, that is the gap meno was built to close.
