This document describes the types of personal information we collect and how we use it.
Log files
Like many websites and services, meno makes use of log files. These files log visitors and API requests, usually a standard procedure for hosting and analytics. Information in log files may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and request paths. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site and services, track movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and similar data are not linked to personally identifiable information until you create an account. Once you register, we may associate your IP address with your account to improve security and service quality.
Cookies and web beacons
meno uses cookies and similar technologies to store preferences, maintain signed-in sessions, record user-specific information about pages accessed, and personalize web content based on browser type or other information sent by your browser. You may disable cookies through your browser settings; some features of the app may not function without them.
How we use the information we collect
meno may access and use data we collect as necessary to (a) provide and maintain our CRM, playbook, and messaging services; (b) address service, security, and customer support issues; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, unlawful, or technical issues; (d) comply with law; (e) fulfill our contracts; (f) improve the services we provide; and (g) provide analysis or useful information back to our customers.
End-users (your contacts, leads, members, or guests): Recipients of SMS messages sent through meno may receive an initial message to confirm they are willing to receive your texts, as required by law. After that, outbound communication is from you, the account holder, not marketing from meno.
We do not sell end-users’ phone numbers and we do not send marketing messages to your contacts on our behalf.
We retain contact and message data as needed to operate the product and measure organic growth. If you or your contact(s) want information deleted, email support@meno.app.
Other examples of how we use information:
- Create and administer your account.
- Send order or account confirmations.
- Facilitate and improve use of the services.
- Respond to inquiries and support requests.
- Send product updates and service information (to account holders).
- Conduct research and analysis to improve the product.
- Run automated systems, including machine learning, to improve services and draft suggestions.
- Provide usage insights and benchmarks where applicable.
We may contact you by any method you provide (email, phone, text, etc.). Message and data rates may apply.
Third-party privacy policies
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties for their marketing.
We use third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting (e.g. Fly.io), database and authentication (e.g. Supabase), messaging (e.g. Twilio or Vonage), and AI inference providers for optional draft features. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
You should consult third-party privacy policies for more detail on their practices. meno’s policy does not apply to third-party websites you may link to from our site or app.
Children’s information
We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. meno does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian believes we have collected information from a child under 18, contact support@meno.app and we will use reasonable efforts to remove it.
Online privacy policy only
This privacy policy applies to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website and users of our web and mobile applications regarding information shared and collected there. It does not apply to information collected offline or through channels other than this website and the meno application.
